Welcome to the second OVAGLAS® newsletter, highlighting a selection of the projects we brought to life throughout May, here’s a look at what kept our team busy over the past month.
We kicked off May with a series of installations at shared office spaces in both Leeds and Manchester. These projects focused on enhancing privacy with frosted glazing, while incorporating custom branding and client logos to create a professional, cohesive look throughout the workspaces.
Next up, one of our installation teams headed to Leicester to carry out a vinyl film replacement at a hotel. The new film was carefully selected to match the colour and style of the building’s façade, creating a cleaner, more unified appearance.
Our next project took us to the beautiful Stationers’ Hall in London, where we installed 3M Prestige 70 Solar Film. This high-performance film helps reduce heat and glare while maintaining the building’s historic appearance — a perfect solution for preserving comfort without compromising on aesthetics.
We also completed a project in Bristol featuring the installation of Casper Cloaking Technology. This innovative architectural film is designed to block LED and LCD screens from view when seen from outside a room, while remaining completely transparent to everything else. It’s a powerful solution for meeting rooms, offices, and collaborative spaces — helping prevent visual data breaches without compromising the open, modern feel of glass walls. This installation at a truck stop in Leeming Bar was carried out to provide privacy for a new gym space under development. We applied a silver reflective film that offers one-way visibility — allowing those inside to see out clearly, while preventing passers-by from seeing in. It’s an effective and stylish way to maintain privacy without sacrificing natural light.
Next up for the team was a project with Bulgaro Interiors, who wanted to elevate their showroom in Bexleyheath with a stylish privacy solution. The client chose Solyx® Reeded Glass Film for its elegant look and practical benefits. We installed it in multiple areas throughout the showroom — providing a high level of privacy while still allowing natural light to flow through the space.
Next up was an office installation in Sheffield, where we applied silver etch film in both full-height coverage and 1-metre-deep bands. The goal was to enhance privacy across key areas while incorporating custom logos and branding to maintain a polished, professional look throughout the workspace.
We wrapped up the month with another Solyx® decorative film installation — this time featuring Twilight Black Reeded Glass. Applied to refrigeration units at a hotel in London, the film was chosen to elevate the overall aesthetic, adding a sleek, modern touch while subtly obscuring the contents for a cleaner visual finish.

Februari is opnieuw een productieve maand geweest voor onze Britse en internationale projecten. Gedurende de maand leverden onze installatieteams specialistische oplossingen voor raamfolie, glasverbetering en retrofit raamfolieoplossingen in retail, commerciële en publieke sectoren. Van privacyraamfolie en zonne-controle raamfolie tot veiligheidsfolie-upgrades en geprinte graphics, deze projecten tonen de veelzijdigheid en prestaties van moderne glasversterkingssystemen.
In kantoren, woongebouwen, vervoersknooppunten en gedeelde werkruimtes hebben we op maat gemaakte raamfolie-oplossingen geïnstalleerd om aan specifieke locatievereisten te voldoen. In elk geval richtten we ons op het verbeteren van energie-efficiëntie, het verbeteren van privacy, het verhogen van veiligheidsnaleving en het versterken van de interieurbranding. Hierdoor versterkt dit gevarieerde portfolio onze expertise in het leveren en installeren van high-performance raamfolie in het hele Verenigd Koninkrijk en internationaal.
Om de maand af te sluiten bezochten we EuroShop in Düsseldorf, waar we in contact kwamen met branchepartners en de nieuwste ontwikkelingen op het gebied van retailontwerp en efficiëntie bespraken.
Hieronder volgt een samenvatting van de beglazings- en retrofitprojecten die de afgelopen weken zijn afgerond.
Om te beginnen hebben we een opal-frost privacyband geïnstalleerd in een volledig glazen kantoorruimte in Oxfordshire. We wilden privacy in vergaderruimtes introduceren, terwijl we natuurlijk licht en een open indeling behielden. Na een gedetailleerde locatie-inspectie brachten we een doorlopende opal-frostmanifestatieband op ooghoogte aan. Deze aanpak verbeterde de privacy en zorgde voor naleving van glasveiligheid. Al met al leverden we een schone, eigentijdse afwerking die discretie en design in balans bracht.
Kort daarna bezochten we een gedeeld kantoor in Newcastle. Daar plaatsten we matte raamfolie naast een op maat gemaakte bedrijfsbranding op glazen wanden. Hoewel de klant privacy prioritair vond, wilde hij ook de heldere, open sfeer behouden die typisch is voor coworking-omgevingen. Daarom brachten we een scherpe, gefrosted manifestation band aan en legden we er precisie-gesneden, fullcolour branding overheen. Deze oplossing verbeterde de privacy en creëerde een gedurfd visueel statement.
Vervolgens gingen we over naar de horecasector. In een hotel en spa hebben we opal-frostfolie aangebracht op een glazen ingang. In deze context moeten operators privacy en presentatie in balans brengen. Om deze reden brachten we hoogwaardige opal-frostvinyl aan op het centrale glaspaneel. Deze installatie zorgde voor een uniforme afwerking, verbeterde discretie en verbeterde zichtbaarheid van glas voor veiligheidsnaleving. Het eindresultaat vult de rustige, premium sfeer van de ruimte aan.
Daarna schakelden we over van privacy naar optreden in Oxford. In dit woonproject hebben we Silver 20 zonnepaneel geïnstalleerd in de gangen van appartementen. Grote glazen gangen zorgden voor aanzienlijke warmteopname en schittering. Om dit probleem op te lossen, hebben we de folie op de binnenzijde van de ramen geplaatst. Silver 20 vermindert zonnewarmte, minimaliseert schittering en verbetert de energie-efficiëntie zonder de ruimte significant te verduisteren. Daardoor ervaren bewoners nu een comfortabelere gangomgeving naast een schonere buitenkant.
Als onderdeel van de vernieuwing van Reply’s hoofdkantoor in Londen leverden we een uitgebreid pakket van interne branding en grafische installaties. Een grootformaat wandgrafiek transformeerde een eenvoudige muur tot een opvallend brandpunt. Daarnaast hebben we raamfolies, interne bewegwijzering en extra merkelementen door het hele gebouw geplaatst. Samen vormden deze installaties een samenhangende en professionele inrichting die de merkbekendheid versterkte en de werkruimte verbeterde.
Later die maand voltooiden we een hoogwaardige installatie van geprinte gradient window-film op het treinstation van Banbury. Vanwege de schaal en hoogte van de beglaasde ingangsgevels gebruikten we gespecialiseerde toegangsapparatuur en coördineerden we de werkzaamheden zorgvuldig. De geprinte verloopfolie creëert een vloeiend fade-effect over het glas. Het bevordert de privacy binnen terwijl het natuurlijke daglicht behoudt. Van buitenaf heeft het station nu een schone, eigentijdse uitstraling, en binnen profiteren passagiers van meer comfort en discretie.
We hebben ook een veiligheidsproject voor filmstrook en vervanging uitgevoerd in een appartement in Battersea. In de loop der tijd verslechterde de bestaande raamfolie en beïnvloedde dit zowel de prestaties als het uiterlijk. We verwijderden de verouderde veiligheidsfolie, maakten het glas klaar en plaatsten een nieuwe hoogwaardige veiligheidsraamfolie die aan de huidige normen voldoet. Deze upgrade herstelde de helderheid, verbeterde glasretentie en verbeterde bescherming zonder het Londense uitzicht te beïnvloeden. Het project laat zien waarom vastgoedbeheerders proactief verouderde veiligheidsraamfolie moeten vervangen om naleving en langdurige prestaties te behouden.
Tot slot sloten we de maand af op EuroShop, ’s werelds grootste retailbeurs. In samenwerking met Kenfield Ltd en Aerofoil-energy presenteerden we geïntegreerde retrofit-oplossingen voor de retailsector. Door samenwerking lieten we zien hoe gecombineerde technologieën de prestaties en energie-efficiëntie in de winkel verbeteren. Al met al bood EuroShop een sterke afsluiting van een drukke en productieve maand.
